What a horrible week. What a cocky guy I am too. Now I'm knocked down, flat on my back. I can't feel my arms and legs; a numbness is seeping through me. Where am I again? My eyes have turned dark. And things come crashing down.

The air felt electrifying as Ejis stepped onto the court. He gripped his racket harder, feeling the rubber press softly back against his palm. Reaching into his pocket, he eyed his opponent, taking a stance in the middle of the court. Pulling out the bright yellow ball, Ejis tossed it up and served.

Dum dadi do dum dum didoodi dam

The ball pounded on the court, shaking the earth. Ejis felt light on his feet, dashing to hit back the opponent's return. The ball flew cross-court into the backhand corner. His opponent was already there waiting.

The backhand shot went straight down the line; Ejis barely caught it, forcing the ball up into the sky. His opponent took the opportunity to charge. His smash landed neatly out of reach.

Ejis wiped the sweat off his forehead. His opponent smirked before turning around, walking back to the baseline. Glaring at his back, Ejis got to his serving position. He closed his eyes, and felt a light breeze blowing through the air. His heartbeat was pounding in his ears; adrenaline was rushing through him.
"Love-fifteen."

The ball flew over the net, just short of the service line. Ejis put on a final burst of energy, diving forward and slicing at the ball. It hopped just over the net once more, landing with a short bounce in the corner. The opponent saw the shot, but couldn't take more than two steps before the ball bounced for a second time. Wiping the smirk off his own face, Ejis came up and shook hands. He went back to his bench, slipped his racket in his bag, slung his bag over his shoulder, and left the court. He walked about a block from the courts to a nearby field off the side of the rode. The sun was still high, and the white clouds seemed to be painted on a blue canvas.

Ejis closed his eyes, letting his mind drift off. He envisioned a face, smiling at him through the clouds. After a while, he fell asleep.

First time I check LJ in a while and three people took this test. XD Looks like I'm the same as always, except maybe the middle three went up a bit. =/ I don't quite remember. I have urges to just write but a lack of motivation to do so right now, for some odd reason or another.
